Rahraw Omarzad

Rahraw Omarzad (* 1964 in Kabul ) is an Afghan writer, artist, lecturer and expert on modern Persian art. He is the founder and director of the Center for Contemporary Art Afghanistan (CCAA) - an initiative that promotes “sustainable cultural renewal in Afghanistan”. Today Omarzad is one of the protagonists of the young art scene in Kabul. The art magazine Gahnama-e Hunar published by him is currently the only one of its kind in the country and sees itself as a “window to the world”.
