Sambassadeur is an indie pop band from Gothenburg , Sweden .
Band history
In autumn 2003 Anna Persson, Joachim Läckberg and Daniel Permbo founded Sambassadeur in the small town of Skövde . In the same year Daniel Tolergård from Gothenburg joined the band. A permanent cast on the drums has not yet been found. In 2004 the musicians moved to Gothenburg and got in touch with the Swedish record label Labrador Records , which the group finally signed in 2005 and released the EPs Between the Lines and New Moon . In the same year the self-titled debut album was released, which attracted attention in the indie scene and received good reviews. However, the band had recorded the songs on simple recording devices, which greatly reduced the quality of the production. All this brought the band ultimately the reputation of a Lo-Fi - Twee Pop a -Acts, but this was not intended. In 2006 the EP Coastal Affairs followed , which has now been produced much more carefully and at great expense. A concert tour brought the band to Germany in 2006.
In the summer of 2007 the band members went back to the studio to record the second long player entitled Migration , which was released in late 2007. Subtle Changes was released as a single . In 2008 the next single, Final Say, was released, which was again positively received by Pitchfork Media . In 2009, the band spent a lot of time in the recording studio to record their new album European , which was released in February 2010 on the Internet and on phonograms by Labrador. The title Days was previously released as a single .
