The Rajah Sulayman Movement is an Islamist terrorist organization in the Philippines founded in 1991 by Ahmed Santos . Its members are ex-Filipino Christians who converted to Islam ; the fight against this group is a major conflict in the Southeast Asian country. According to the Philippine government, the movement's fighters are trained, financed and directed by Abu Sajaf and the Jemaah Islamiyah .

The group is named after Rajah Sulayman III , a 16th century Muslim king and ruler of Manila who fought against the Spanish during the colonization of the Philippines. Similar to the Abu Sajaf, members of the movement are calling for the restoration of the Islamic government and its corresponding religion.
