Rakonitzer scooter
The Rakonitzer Roller is a domestic pigeon breed and belongs to the porpoise pigeons .
Pattern description
- Origin: Bred in the area around Rakonitz ( Czech Republic ) in the 19th century.
- Overall impression: medium-sized, lively pigeon with a slightly sloping attitude; which is known as a good flier (scooter).

Breed characteristics:
- Head: Small with a broad forehead and a slightly flattened parting without edges, smooth.
- Eyes: Dark, the edge of the eyes fine and intense red.
- Beak: Barely medium length, blunt, set on broadly, moderately lowered, pink flesh-colored.
- Neck: Short, relatively broad coming out of the shoulders, only moderately tapering towards the head, throat well rounded.
- Chest: Broad, well rounded, slightly arched, slightly raised.
- Back: Broad in the shoulders, slightly arched, tapering towards the back.
- Wings: Broad, close to the body, covering the back, carried on the tail without crossing, not reaching the tip of the tail.
- Tail: Short, well closed, in a line with the back.
- Legs: Short, featherless, (color of nails to match the color of the bill).
- Shades of color: Gaffed in black, blue, hammered blue, silver, red and yellow.
