Rando Geschewski (born September 2, 1963 in Berlin ) is a German painter and graphic artist.

Career

From 1984 to 1987 Geschewski studied interior architecture and furniture design at the FAK Heiligendamm . He then worked from 1987 to 1989 as an engineer for project planning in Leipzig. At the same time, he completed an evening course from 1987 to 1989 at the evening academy of the HfGB in Leipzig. From 1989 to 1990 he worked as a theater painter in the theater painting hall of the Leipzig Opera. From 1990 to 1995 he studied painting and graphics at Burg Giebichenstein (today the University of Art and Design) in Halle, graduating with Thomas Rug. He then became a master student with Werner Liebmann from 1995 to 1998.

Rando Geschewski has been working freelance since 1995. In addition to his studies, a first teaching assignment for nature studies / perspective in basic studies at Burg Giebichenstein Halle took place from 1992 to 1994 . From 1996 to 2001 he was given a teaching position at the HfWTG Wismar, Heiligendamm department, as a professor's substitute for nature studies. In 1998 he initiated and organized the first state exhibition for young art in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, "LABOR 1". As a curator he was responsible for the exhibitions “+10” in 2016 in the Kunsthalle Rostock and the “Illustrade 2017” also in the Kunsthalle Rostock. The focus of his artistic work is portraits in drawing and painting. In addition, he has been designing, writing and drawing elaborately designed children's books since 2015.
