Humberto Carnivore Circus

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Predator Circus Humberto was founded in 1992 by Joschi Ortmann and Eugen Zinnecker and is now based in Wittstock (Dosse).

The circus is managed by the director couple Joschi Ortmann and Carmen Ortmann. One of the attractions of the Circus Humberto is a lion dressage, presented by director Joschi Ortmann. The animal population includes ponies, horses, camels, exotic animals such as Watussi cattle , llamas and goats. The artistic performances are presented by members of the family and foreign artists.

The circus is a classic, medium circus companies with about 50 cars, a four-mast Chapiteau , entrance tent, large tent stall and private toilet trailer. The tents and wagons are red and yellow, the Humberto lettering on the wagon is shown in green. Tables and chairs are available in the front and entrance tent. At the start of the 2007 season, the company's fence was elaborately forged from metal and generously illuminated.

Humberto mainly travels to the new federal states, but occasionally also the northern old federal states.

On March 18, 2011, the lioness Nala broke out of the ring during a guest performance in Neuruppin . After she was spotted in the city, the police, in consultation with the circus director, gave the order to kill, whereupon the lioness was shot. Following the outbreak of the lioness, the circus decided to hold its performances as planned for the next day, but to forego the predator numbers. In addition, the criminal investigation department determines whether the circus is negligent. The escape, including the death of the lioness, also called on animal rights activists, who are calling for wildlife to be abolished.
