Rebeca Diva
Rebeca Diva ( Diva Rebeca de Lourdes Guíñez Mardones ; * in El Carmen ) is a Chilean singer.
Live and act
Diva studied singing with Eugenia Andreu : from 1980 she directed the Escuela de Cultura y Difusión Artística and from the same year produced programs for Radio La Discusión in Chillán. For her services to the promotion of music she received the Premio Municipal de Arte of the city in 1982 . Since the mid-1980s she has taught at various schools in Santiago.
In 1978 she recorded her first album with her own compositions. The LPs El nuevo ruiseñor de Chile (1990) and Somos (1992) were made in Santiago . The former contained us compositions by Osvaldo Jeldres and Leonel Meza as well as the setting of a poem by Raúl Lara . On the latter, which was created under the musical direction of pianist René Calderón , she sang together with Arturo Gatica, among others, Solamente una vez by Agustín Lara , Historia de un amor by Carlos Almarán , Somos by Mario Clavell , Sufrir by Francisco Flores del Campo and Vivo otra vida by Jaime Atria .
