Receiver Automatic Programming System

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Receiver Automatic Programming System [ ɹɪˈsiːvə ˌɔːtəˈmætɪk ˈpɹəʊɡɹæmɪŋ ˌsɪstəm ] ( RAPS ) automatically updates the transmitter data of a receiving device.

The RAPS system compares the stored television and radio programs with the program list sent in the background by the satellite or cable provider, so the user does not miss any changes or the start of a new program. It is still possible to expand the list manually or to adapt it to your requirements.

This service is currently broadcast free of charge via the Astra 19.2 ° and Eutelsat Hot Bird 13 ° East satellites via their DVB-S data broadcast and can be received by suitable receivers.
