Re-export

As a re-export refers to the export of goods previously imported was.

Many products are exported to countries which, due to low wages and similar location factors, offer the cheapest option for the refinement of goods. The goods are then delivered back to the country of origin or to a third party. According to the customs procedure of the processing trade , products that are reimported after processing abroad no longer have to be cleared in full.

Some companies have shrimp caught in the Scandinavian region transported to North Africa. There, cheap labor pulls the animals. The goods are then brought back to European countries, where they can still be sold profitably to end consumers despite the transport costs.
