Reflux

Reflux (from Latin refluxus 'reflux') stands for:

  • Gastroesophageal reflux , reflux from the stomach ( gaster ) into the esophagus ( esophagus )
  • Hepatojugular reflux , congestion of the superficial jugular vein when pressure is applied to the upper abdomen
  • Vesicorenal reflux , unphysiological reflux of urine from the bladder via the ureters into the renal pelvis.
  • Reflux (band) , former American metalcore band
  • Reflux (chemistry) , solvent that is distilled off from a reaction vessel and, after condensation, runs back in a cooler
