Regina Richter

Regina Richter is a German opera singer ( mezzo-soprano ).

Life

She has been a member of the Cologne Theaters ( Cologne Opera ) ensemble since the 2002/2003 season . She completed her training at the University of Music and Theater in Munich with Daphne Evangelatos . In 2001 she passed the master class diploma in opera singing. During her studies she received numerous scholarships and was sponsored by the Kunert company. Regina Richter has made guest appearances with the Nuremberg Symphony Orchestra, the Munich Symphony Orchestra and the Chamber Orchestra of the Philharmonic of Nations. She received opera engagements as Ruggiero in "Alcina", Dorabella in "Così fan tutte" and as the flower girl in "Parsifal" under James Levine. In Cologne she sang in Offenbach's “Die Banditen” (Fragoletto), Arminda in “Die Gärtnerin aus Liebe”, Dorabella in “Così fan tutte”, the title roles in “Xerxes” and “La Cenerentola” as well as parts of the Rhine daughters and Valkyries in the "Ring of the Nibelung". In the 2007/2008 season she appeared as Hansel in »Hansel and Gretel«, as Elisabeth in the world premiere of Torsten Rasch's »Rotter«, as Orlofsky in »Die Fledermaus« and as Sesto in Handel's »Giulio Cesare in Egitto«.
