Regionalia is an online newspaper and appears with a federal edition, with regional editions and with specialist editions. The multimedia newspaper enables registered users and editors to participate in their network and to publish data and articles. Readers can also participate as contributors of information (reader reporter). Regionalia went online on July 4th, 2009 and already enabled streaming using the specially developed integrated software. The publisher of Regionalia Germany is the Neue Zeitungsverein eV, a community for free knowledge and true information based in Freiburg im Breisgau, which promotes independent, free journalism with its work.
