Reich Commissioner
Reichskommissariat generally refers to the office or administrative body and territory for which a Reichskommissar was responsible during the National Socialist era ; this was specifically:
- a state government set up by the Reich government in a country of the German Reich; in detail:
- Reichskommissariat Papen I (July 20, 1932 to October 29, 1932)
- Reichskommissariat Papen II (October to December 1932)
- Reichskommissariat Schleicher (December 3, 1932 to January 28, 1933)
- Reichskommissariat Wagner (March 10 to May 8, 1933)
- Reichskommissariat for the resettlement of the Saarland (from 1935)
- the area of office of a Reich Commissioner as a civil occupation authority in areas that had previously been subject to a military administration of the Wehrmacht (and were not part of the “Greater German Reich”); in detail:
