Reinhard Schulz Prize for contemporary music journalism

The Reinhard Schulz Prize for contemporary music journalism supports young music writers and music critics who deal with new music and report about it in the media.

The prize, endowed with 3,000 euros, is aimed at German-speaking music journalists in the field of contemporary music. You can submit work samples from the fields of print, radio, film and television or online journalism.

The partners in the implementation of the award are: Kunstuni Graz, Internationales Musikinstitut Darmstadt, Deutschlandfunk, Bayerischer Rundfunk, ORF, neue musikzeitung, Neue Zeitschrift für Musik, Klangspuren Schwaz, Munich Chamber Orchestra, Stuttgart Opera, Thuringia State Music Council, Music Protocol in Styrian Autumn, Forberg-Schneider- Foundation, Donaueschinger Musiktage, Lucerne Festival, positions, music texts, Hessischer Rundfunk (hr2-kultur) and the Society for New Music (GNM).

The award is dedicated to the memory of the music journalist and musicologist Reinhard Schulz (1950–2009).
