Rectiole

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A rectiole is a type of enema used to introduce medication into the rectum . It is easier to use than intramuscular injection , for example , so that the rectiole can also be administered by non-medically trained persons or lay helpers (e.g. parents).

In addition to the rectiole, suppositories are also a form of medication in which the active ingredient is absorbed by the rectum .
