Remigijus Baniulis

Remigijus Baniulis (born December 7, 1963 in Vilnius ) is a Lithuanian civil servant, general of the fire department .

Life

In 1978, Baniulis graduated from the Leningrad Technical School of Fire Brigade Technology at the Ministry of Interior of Russia Fire Safety Technician. In 1991 he graduated from the Academy of Fire Service at the Ministry of Interior of Russia and became an engineer in fire fighting technology and safety. From 1985 he worked in the fire brigade in Soviet Lithuania . From 1999 to 2001 he was Director of the Human Resources Department at the Ministry of Interior of Lithuania . From 2001 he was deputy director and from 2006 to 2016 he was director of the Lithuanian Fire Brigade at the Ministry of Interior of Lithuania. In 2006, Prime Minister Gediminas Kirkilas promoted him to General in the office.

Baniulis is a member of the social democratic party LSDP (since 2019).

He is married. He has three children with his wife Renata.
