René Pillot

René Pillot (* 1939 ) is a French writer and actor .

Pillot was shaped in his training by Charles Dullin and involved in the movement of the decentralization théâtrale . He was engaged by Jean Vilar at the Théâtre national populaire and appeared with various groups of the decentralization in Brussels and Lille.

In 1968 he founded the Théâtre La Fontaine for children and young people as one of the six Centers Dramatiques Nationaux , which he directed until 1991. Here he staged over forty plays and appeared in more than sixty roles. In addition, he occasionally took on smaller roles in television productions.

Since the 1980s he has been professor of speech training and communication at the École Supérieure de Journalisme in Lille. Pillot wrote about thirty plays. He is a member of the Société des Gens de Lettre and the Maison des Ecrivains and has been awarded the Chevalier des Arts et Lettres .
