Renzo Russo

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Renzo Giuseppe Russo (born before 1950) was an Italian film director and screenwriter .

Russo lived in Venezuela in the 1950s , where he was also responsible for the feature film Noche de milagros in 1953 . In 1961 he brought the documentary Lettere dal Venezuela into the cinemas; a year later his first of the then fashionable sexy films, which combined nightclub scenes and other attractions with a short storyline. Now in Italy, Russo shot more of these films as director, producer and screenwriter between 1962 and 1964. Occasionally he edited the works, all of which were also shown in German-speaking countries, himself. After a few years' break, he finally appeared in the film business for the last time with the conventional Giallo La rossa dalla pelle che scotta .
