Representation (Neuroscience)

The term cerebral representation illustrates the fact that the different areas of the brain (cerebrum) play a different role in bodily functions, behavior and mental processes.

Example:

  • The primary motor cortex ( Brodmann Area 4) contains the representation of the body parts that can perform movements.
