Reprography remuneration

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Reprographievergütung is in Austria statutory right to reasonable compensation for copying works of literature, the visual arts and notes for personal use. In addition to the empty cassette remuneration for private copies, it is a separate claim.

The money collected by the Literar-Mechana from importers and certain operators of copiers is distributed to the entitled authors, authors, publishers and legal successors - as financial compensation for the profits lost through copying for their own use.

The collection of reprography remuneration is regulated by general agreements and framework agreements with the associations and the guilds of the Chamber of Commerce and the Federal Ministry of Science and Transport and other supporting institutions. In 2014, income from reprography fees amounted to € 8.7 million.
