A connection engineer ( English : Liaison Engineer , also resident engineer ) has to maintain the task of the contact and the transfer of knowledge between different areas of a company, especially among developing department and production.

Possible areas of application of a connection engineer are, for example, the transfer of a product from the development department to the production area or the mediation between a customer and the contractor, where he or she is sent from the contractor to the customer.
