The Restaurante de Montes Claros is a restaurant in the Portuguese capital, Lisbon .

history

The restaurant was originally built as a tea house on the Miradouro de Montes Claros in the hills of the Monsanto park and converted into a restaurant in 1949. The architect was Francisco Keil do Amaral with the collaboration of the architects Alberto José Pessoa and Hernâni Gandra. The tile panels on the front of the central dining room on the first floor were created by the painter Maria Keil .

The two-story building covers a total area of ​​1300 m². In front is a terrace with 278 m². It is included in the Inventário Municipal de Património .
