Rescue trough

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A rescue trough is a hard shell trough that is provided with belts and grip holes and is used to rescue the injured. The main focus is on the quick rescue of accident workers with respiratory protection .

The rescue trough usually consists of the trough attachment of a standard construction site wheelbarrow. At the front and back there are straps for pulling the trough, as well as on the sides to fix the person to be transported. There are two openings on each side as finger holes.

The rescue trough is light and protects the back and sides of the person being transported. It can therefore be easily pulled across the floor. The rescue trough also provides lateral stabilization. It can also be used to transport material.

The rescue trough was developed by members of the Dortmund Fire Brigade and submitted for European-wide utility model protection. The "Rescue Trough Dortmund" is TÜV- tested, has a GS seal of approval and is now in series production.
