Return of the Bunny Suicides

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Return of the Bunny Suicides is the 2004 successor to the black humor comics collection The Book of Bunny Suicides: Little Fluffy Rabbits Who Just Don't Want To Live Any More by Andy Riley . The comics describe little rabbits or bunnies, the so-called "bunnies", who try to kill themselves in any cruel way.

content

In the dramaturgy of the comics, the content of the book is very much based on the principle of the Rube Goldberg machine , which its predecessor already used. Riley makes strong references in his work to the British cartoonist William Heath Robinson . The book also increasingly relies on parodic messing up various political, social and pop-cultural topics, such as B. The Lord of the Rings , in which a bunny provokes his suicide by sprinkling pepper in Sauron's eye or by standing under the falling statue of Saddam Hussein .
