Reveille (magazine)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Reveille was a British weekly newspaper that was very popular at times.

Founded in 1940 as a magazine for the British Army during World War II, it was acquired by the Daily Mirror group of companies in 1947 .

In the 1950s, the paper brought a lot of light entertainment, in particular numerous articles about the British royal family, but also short stories. In the 1960s an attempt was made to modernize it with pop posters and glamor girls under the title Reveille Magazine . 1973 brought another renaming to New Reveille , which was reversed in March 1975. The last issue appeared on August 17, 1979
