Revers (book trade)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A reverse is the written contract between the publisher , wholesalers / bar assortments and retailers . On the reverse, among other things, compliance with the fixed price of books, magazines and newspapers is signed.

Collectible lapel

The collective lapel is an overall contract signed by publishers to commit to fixed book prices. Such an obligation is no longer absolutely necessary on the retail side, since the price maintenance for books is created by legal regulations.

Single lapel

Single lapels used to be used for resellers who had not joined the collective lapels, e.g. B. retailers from outside the industry, are obliged to adhere to fixed prices for individual publishers. Since fixed book prices were regulated by law in Germany in 2002, individual reverses are no longer relevant today.
