Revision (medicine)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

In medicine, revision refers to the repetition or expansion of a previously performed operation (revision operation ). The most common reason for a revision is the inadequate success of the previous procedure or complications that have occurred. The revision is intended to achieve the originally intended treatment success or at least an improvement in the current condition.
