Rhabdomanty

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Rhabdomantie (Greek rhabtos = stick, manteia = fortune telling) as a form of mantic describes fortune telling by throwing sticks or sensing things hidden under the earth with a divining rod . With the help of the deflections of the rod, ore veins ( metalloscopy ) or water ( hydroscopy ) are to be localized.
