The RWTH homes AG was a real estate company in the Ruhr area. The Gelsenkirchener Bergwerks-AG , Essen , had the largest share in the meantime .

A small episode in the company's history was resistance from residents when the company wanted to demolish the Flöz Dickebank estate in Gelsenkirchen in 1974 . The settlement was preserved.

In 1974 Westdeutsche Wohnhäuser AG, Rheinisch-Westfälische Wohnstätten AG, Westfälische Wohnstätten AG and Ruhrwohnungsbau GmbH merged to form the Wohnstätten group, later VEBA Immobilien . This was taken over by Deutsche Annington Immobilien AG, which has been called Vonovia since 2015 .
