Ruhr housing construction

The Ruhrwohnungsbau AG was a housing association founded in 1928 with headquarters in Dortmund . Among other things, she built multi-storey buildings in Bochum in the 1930s. In the 1950s, a large housing estate developed by Ruhrwohnungsbau AG in Alt-Scharnhorst .

In 1974 Westdeutsche Wohnhäuser AG, Rheinisch-Westfälische Wohnstätten AG , Westfälische Wohnstätten AG and Ruhrwohnungsbau GmbH merged to form the Wohnstätten group, later VEBA Immobilien . This now belongs to Deutsche Annington .
