Ricardo de Armas

Ricardo de Armas (* 1957 in Buenos Aires ) is an Argentine cellist and composer.

Life

De Armas studied classical cello in Argentina, Spain and Brazil. From 1985 to 1989 he was a member of the Grupo de Acción Musical , an improvisation group with Vasken Bezazian , Jorge Falcón , Marcelo Barragán , Gustavo Rodríguez Espada and Daniel Miraglia . Since 1988 he has been the cellist of the Orquesta Sinfónica Provincial de Bahía Blanca .

From 1995 to 1999 he worked as a cellist and composer in the Duo Maglia-de Armas with Adrián Maglia , which u. a. performed with the dance group Almas en alquiler . At the same time he formed the experimental music group Primarios with María de la Cruz , Rodríguez Palacios and Patricia Galassi .

Since 1999 de Armas has been involved in the multimedia project Telematic Bolivia . With Luis Rojas he organizes the Bahía Arte Electrónico festival in the city of Bahía Blanca.
