The Directive 2013/35 / EU of the European Parliament and of the Council of June 26, 2013 (abbreviated to: EMF Directive ) deals with the protection of workers from actual or possible risks to their health and safety from exposure to electromagnetic fields .

content

The EMF Directive defines minimum requirements for the protection of workers from actual or possible risks to their health and safety from exposure to electromagnetic fields during their work. The guideline deals with all known direct and indirect biophysical effects that are caused by electromagnetic fields. The limit values specified in this guideline only apply to scientifically proven relationships between direct biophysical short-term effects and exposure to electromagnetic fields. Suspected long-term effects are not addressed.

The accident prevention regulation "Electromagnetic Fields" (DGUV regulation 15) deals with the protection of the insured persons of the professional associations, which is based on the accident prevention regulation BGV B11

The implementation of the EMF directive into German law took place with the regulation for the protection of employees against hazards caused by electromagnetic fields (occupational safety regulation for electromagnetic fields - EMFV) .
