Swords house
The Schwerter House is a former factory building in Dresden - Plauen , Würzburger Straße 14. The house is a listed building and has been converted into an office building.
history
The Riedel & Engelmann chocolate factory was founded here in 1888 . The company also regularly supplied the royal tavern of the Saxon king. In 1941 400 people worked in the factory. About 60 percent of the building was destroyed in the bombing of Dresden , but then rebuilt. Chocolate production took place here with interruptions until 1989.
In 1991 the building was transferred back to the previous owner or heir and renovated. Today there are offices and medical practices here.
