Rigoberto Cisneros Dueñas (born August 15, 1953 ) is a retired Mexican football player on the position of defender .

Cisneros began his professional career in 1974 in the service of CD Toluca and was thus part of the championship squad of the 1974/75 season , even if he often had to sit on the bench in his first season. Later he also played for the CF Monterrey , the Universidad de Guadalajara and the CD Guadalajara .

National team

Cisneros made his international debut in a friendly game against El Salvador on February 15, 1978, which was won 5-1. His last international match was on February 28, 1980 in the 1-0 defeat by South Korea.

His only international goal he achieved on January 22, 1980, when he scored the decisive goal for the 1-0 win against the selection of Czechoslovakia.

The highlight of his international career was his participation in the Football World Cup 1978 , in which Cisneros played the last preliminary round match between the Mexicans against Poland (1: 3) on June 10, 1978.
