The Rillenstein von Daudieck is a prehistoric Rillenstein and menhir near the Daudieck estate near Horneburg in the Stade district , Lower Saxony .

location

The stone is located northwest of the estate in a small wooded area in a private cemetery. There is a Neolithic burial ground in the vicinity .

description

The stone is columnar and is made of red granite . It has a height of 1.16 m, a width of 0.81 m and a thickness of 0.64 m. In the lower area, a groove with a width of 3 cm and a depth of 6 cm runs around half the stone.

The menhir has been converted into a modern tombstone . One side was smoothed and an inscription for the Oberregierungsrat Franz von Holleuffer was added.
