Rimantas Astrauskas
Rimantas Astrauskas (born March 16, 1955 in Panevėžys ) is a Lithuanian politician.
Life
After graduating from high school, he completed his diploma studies at the Vilniaus universitetas in 1978 and worked as a physics engineer at Fizikos institutas from 1978 to 1990 . From 1988 he was a member of the Lithuanian Green Movement. In 1990 he was a co-founder of the Lithuanian Green Party. From 1993 to 1995 he was party leader. From 1990 to 1992 he was a deputy at the Seimas . In 2006 he co-founded Nacionalinė vandens, elektros ir šilumos vartotojų gynimo lyga (consumer protection association).
