Ring Mountain

Ring Mountain is a high plateau near the village of Tiburon in Marin County, California . Ring Mountain is a popular destination for day-trippers because of its all-round views of San Francisco Bay . Ring Mountain is the only place on earth where the extremely rare Tiburon Mariposa Lily ( Calochortus tiburonensis ) from the Mormon tulip genus grows. Ring Mountain is also known for its petroglyphs , rock carvings from before European settlers arrived in the American West . The highest point of Ring Mountain is around 184 meters above sea level.
