Danestown ring fort

The ring fort of Danestown ( Irish Baile an Dainigh ) is a Ráth of about 50.0 m in diameter in County Meath in Ireland . Danestown Ringwall is a national monument and is located about 700 m southeast of Kentstown in the townland Danestown on the south bank of the Nanny , a tributary of the Boyne .

The round, inner raised platform is over four meters high with a deep moat around it. The outer wall is over two meters high.

Nearby is Danestown Church ruins and the Ring Fort of Realtogue .
