Ring layer mixer

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The annular zone mixer includes a horizontal mixer, and is in the process engineering used litigation to mix the different reaction components.

principle

The ring layer mixer differs significantly from other mixer types due to the particle movement . The particles are accelerated radially by a high speed so that they lie against the wall and are pushed through the mixer on the container wall, so that the direct drive shaft environment remains product-free. With other mixers, the product is loosened up by setting the speed so that it is easy to change position between the individual particles (shear mixing, centrifugal mixing, throwing mixing).

application

Ring layer mixers are operated in continuous production processes and are characterized by the short dwell time of the product in the mixer. This enables a large throughput rate with a small mixer. Mixing units of this type have become established, particularly in detergent production, as the short dwell time enables a significantly higher load of the “sticky” components.
