Rivista mensile della città di Venezia

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Rivista mensile della città di Venezia was a monthly official journal of the Municipality of Venice , which was published from 1922 to 1935. The publisher was the city's statistical office . The editors were the secretary, the head of the technical office, the head of the central accounting office and the secretaries of the various municipal departments. The sheet was considered to be a continuation of the Bollettino Statistico Municipale , which, similar to other municipalities, had been disseminating general information on urban life in addition to statistical principles for several years. Because of this two-way relationship, there was a conflict with the Carlo Ferrari printing company, which produced the Bollettino .

The Rivista dealt with statistical as well as cultural, historical and political questions. For example Rodolfo Gallo wrote about Enrico Dandolo's grave in Hagia Sophia in Istanbul or about the church on Sant'Elena , or Giulio Lorenzetti about the stucco work in Palazzo Merati. In 1929 Adolfo Ottolenghi , chief rabbi of Venice from 1919 to 1944 , published on Leon da Modena . In 1930 the editing of the Rivista was transferred to the Museo Correr .

Overall, the Rivista appeared regularly from January 1922, but ceased its publication on instructions in September 1935.
