The Rjúkandafoss is a waterfall in Westfjords of Iceland .
The Rjúkandi River plunges 35 m into the depth, then flows into the Hvalá, which flows into Ófeigsfjörður . The waterfall has a fan shape like its bigger brother Dynjandi . Due to its shape, it was taken by seafarers in the Húnaflói as a clearly visible landmark. You can reach the remote fjord, which is no longer inhabited all year round , via the Ófeigsfjarðarvegur highland road (road F649). The river Hvalá has the most water in the Westfjords and there are considerations to use the hydropower.
