Robbins Island is a flat island in the southwestern part of the Bass Strait between mainland Australia and the island of Tasmania . It belongs to the Fleurieu archipelago and is located 12 km southwest of Hunter Island , just off the northwest coast of Tasmania.

The approximately 99 km² large island is separated from the Tasmanian mainland by the Robbins Passage . Little Walker Island is less than 50 m from the northern tip .
