Robert Joseph Greene (born January 11, 1973 ) is a Canadian author who writes books in the field of homosexual romantic fiction.

life and career

Greene became known with his book Gay Love Stories from All Over the World , a collection of gay love stories from a total of 12 countries. Each of the stories describes a culture and a people. The book was written by PFLAG included Canada, an organization for gays and lesbians in the list "worth reading books."

One of the short stories in the "Gay Icon Classics Collection" is "Halo's Golden Circle", a tragic love story set in ancient Judea. Author and Jewish scholar Steven Greenberg became aware of the story and described it as a "beautiful story."

Letters From Camp Rehoboth published an excerpt from The Journey and the Gems in 2006. The Watermark, a weekly LGBT publication in Florida, extolled the story, honoring the writer.

After the publication of “The Gay Icon Classics of the World II” in 2012, a short story was translated by Russian students and used as a protest against anti-homosexual propaganda. The reason for this was the new laws in St. Petersburg , which widespread discrimination against homosexuals.

Greene's "This High School Has Closets" was a finalist for the 2012 Lambda Literary Awards in the Young Adult Novel category.

In June 2013, the books by Robert Joseph Greene were removed from the range of the Weltbild publishing group and the collaboration with the “Icon Empire Press” publisher was terminated. Weltbild gave the reason that Greene's books do not match the company's “traditional values”. The decision was criticized because the publisher also kept other erotic books in its inventory.
