Robinson drainage

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Robinson drainage is a closed wound drainage system with a secretion collection bag. The bag cannot be changed, but the secretion can be emptied through a drain port, similar to the system used in transurethral indwelling catheters . The Robinson drainage is inserted intra- abdominally and, unlike other systems - such as the Redon drainage - works without suction.
