Rochus Chapel (Wangen im Allgäu)
The Rochuskapelle (also St. Rochus Chapel ) is located in Wangen im Allgäu in the Ravensburg district in Upper Swabia .
history
The Rochus Chapel is located in the old Gottesacker city park in Wangen. The chapel was built in 1592/93 by the town builder Jerg Loßher and consecrated to Saint Rochus . The interior of the chapel consists of a slightly vaulted wooden ceiling with 66 painted panels from 1598. The panels depict the life of Jesus Christ and his apostles. The artist of these panels is unknown.
