Roger Keller

Roger Keller (born February 28, 1977 in Zurich ) is a former basketball player . From 1997 to 2009 he played in the Swiss national leagues A and B.

Keller made his debut in the top Swiss division of the National League A in 1997 at the basketball club KZO Wetzikon and became Swiss champion. In 1998 he completed the recruiting school for athletes at the Magglingen sports school. There he met the then Federal Councilor Adolf Ogi in connection with the introduction of professional training for professional athletes for the first time in Switzerland. During the next 10 seasons, Keller played for different teams in the two top Swiss leagues.

In 2009, Keller fell ill with granulomatosis with polyangiitis . Since the disease was only recognized at an advanced stage and had already reached a life and organ-threatening level, he almost succumbed to the disease. Today he is completely healed.

Keller is currently the head coach at Grasshoppers Club Zurich - basketball section, head coach of the National League B women team and athletics, strength and conditioning coach. He also runs his own company as a personal trainer and motivational coach , mainly in Zurich and the surrounding area.
