Rolf Sperling (Author)

Rolf Sperling (born March 1967 in Cologne ) is a German playwright.

Sperling has been a member of the Cologne theater group "Kritische Rampe" since 1979, which he has been leading since 1996 together with Stefan Bermüller . The duo of authors wrote their first pieces for the group in 2000, when “Splittertaat Rut Wiess” was premiered in Cologne. Several stage plays have been published by the Deutsche Theaterverlag since 2004 :

  • 2004: Again and again at four at night
  • 2007: Temporary marriage (based on "The Elective Affinity" by Johann Wolfgang von Goethe )
  • 2008: Flaming Hearts

Low German translations of the plays ( Jümmer wedder nachts Klock veer ; Ehe op Tied ) were partly published by Mahnke-Verlag, other plays were published by Plausus-Theaterverlag.

In 2012 Sperling's Cologne comedical "En Joode Ta (a) at!" Was performed for the first time in Cologne.
