Romano Drom

Romano Drom is a Roma folklore group from Budapest , Hungary . The Hungarian Oláh have dedicated themselves to the tradition of this music since its existence. The Roma quintet from Budapest, however, has not yet been able to celebrate their skills with great success. "Romano Drom" is Romani and means "Gypsy Path". "Romano Drom" was founded in 1999 in Hungary by "Gojma" and "Anti" Kovács (father and son).

The music includes traditional and modern. The power and strength of traditional music lies in the voice. They also use Romani to make their identity easier to understand. There are also percussion and guitar influences.

  • "Gojma" (Antal Kovács), was a singer, dancer († July 2, 2006, in Budapest)
  • "Anti" (Antal Kovács Jr) is the guitarist (solo and rhythm) and singer
  • "Joco" (József Balogh) is also a singer and guitarist
  • "Csika" (Zsigmond Rafael) is a drummer, dancer and bass singer
