Rosemarie Tracy

Rosemarie Tracy (* 1949 ) is a German English specialist and linguist .

Life

Tracy studied English, Romance studies and psychology in Mannheim, Göttingen and in the USA from 1968 to 1980. After completing her studies, she initially worked as a research assistant at the English seminar at the Georg-August University in Göttingen, then as a lecturer in linguistics and psycholinguistics at the SRH School of Speech Therapy in Heidelberg. In 1986 she did her doctorate and worked as a university assistant at the English seminar at the Eberhard Karls University in Tübingen . After her habilitation in 1995, she accepted a position at the University of Mannheim , where she holds the chair for English linguistics to this day.
