Sri Rossa Roslaina Handiyani (born October 9, 1978 in Sumedang , Indonesia ), also known by her stage name Rossa , is an Indonesian pop singer and entrepreneur.

Life

She began her career as a singer at the age of nine and released the album Gadis Ingusan ( Eng . Inexperienced girl). A little later her second studio album Untuk Sahabatku (German for my friend) was released, which was recorded in 1990 by Dian Records / Pro-Sound . These two albums were unsuccessful and Rossa was dissatisfied with their recordings. The third album, which was recorded under the direction of Younky Soewarno , was released in 1996 under the title Nada-Nada Cinta and climbed the Indonesian charts. The song Nada-Nada Cinta stayed at # 2 on MTV Indonesia for 18 weeks . Today Rossa is considered one of the highest paid entertainers in Indonesia.
